Bear Canyon Cabin is in the heart of the great out-of-doors. Wildlife visits are common from deer, moose, weasel, wild turkeys, Great Horned Owls, mountain chickadees, steller jays, Clark's nutcrackers, red breasted nuthatches, woodpeckers, belted kingfishers and yes, an occasional black bear.

State Land and National Forest surround the property and provide an abundance of natural beauty. A world of adventure awaits you at the cabin door. A favorite spot for locals, Bear Canyon provides amazing and unlimited hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and snoeshoeing and it's all right out yoiur front door. New World Gulch trailhead, which leads you into the wilds of the Gallatin National Forest and the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem, is just across the road.

The Bozeman and Big Sky areas offer a vast array of outdoor recreation. We are located in the heart of fly fishing country with several blue ribbon trout streams nearby. There are a handful of outfitters providing horseback riding and whitewater rafting. Want to have an extra special day in Yellowstone with an experienced guide?

Within a two hour's drive are the Lewis and Clark Caverns, Virginia City, and Yellowstone National Park, which is a convenient 90 miles away.
